THAILAND TIP TO TIP
March 9th-22nd, 2020
November 9th-22nd, 2020
This trip is catered to those of you who are adventurous and want the perfect sampler dish of Thailand! That means climbing waterfalls, exploring the world's oldest rainforest, snuggling elephants, and LOVING LIFE! We will take you through 6 cities that highlight the best beaches, jungles, and mountains Thailand has to offer including: Bangkok, Krabi, Railay Beach, Khao Sok National Park, Chiang Mai, and Pai!
WHERE WE ARE GOING...
Starting off our trip, we will be visiting Thailand's capital city, Bangkok!
Bangkok is known for its traditional Buddhist Temples, grandiose palaces, and AH-MAZING street food!
After everyone gets settled in, we will start our evening in Thailand's food capital by having the original Pad Thai recipe in a Michelin star ranked restaurant and exploring Khao San Road.
We are going to hit the ground running on day 2 and take you on a temple hopping tour around Bangkok's most beautiful temples and the Grand Palace! After spending a full day oo-ing and ahh-ing at stunning pieces of architecture and golden buddhas, you are going to need some time to pick which pictures you're going to put on the 'gram!
Our last day in Bangkok is one of our favorites because we get to feast on Thailand's enormous variety of fruits, treats, and snacks! One of our favorite parts of Bangkok is this hidden floating market that is a fan favorite of the locals!
At the floating market, we will board our river boat cruise that will take us through the market, riverside, and let us explore some temples and orchid farms along the way. Make sure you bring your camera and extra batteries because this is a day you'll want to remember forever!
If there is one thing that full-time travel has taught us it's that for every few days of adventure you need a day of relaxation to recharge. That's what Day 4 is all about! After spending a busy few days in Bangkok, we will make it to the Southern Thai Province of Krabi and chill beachside!
Here we will show you around Ao Nang, get settled in, and give you time to explore at your own pace. Use this day to shop for souvenirs, explore, or just hang out by the beach, catch up on your favorite book, and relax in this gorgeous slice of earth!
This stunning bay is by far the most dramatic coastline in Thailand. With enormous, 400ft limestone cliffs contrasting the deep turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea, Railay Beach will take your breath away.
We will get settled into our new home and tour Railay's many beaches, caves, and viewpoints! Some highlights include Phra Nang Beach, Diamond Cave, Railay West, and even a hidden beach!
At the end of a fun day filled with exploration, we will settle on the beach and watch the sunset over the ocean.
Railay's free day is one of the best days of the trip. You will get to fall into the island pace of life, enjoy a cocktail on the beach, and stroll through the bay at your own pace.
With so many beautiful landscapes, beaches, and places to soak in the sun, you will see exactly why this is our favorite place on earth.
Will you go back to the hidden beach we take you to on Day 5? Or would you rather sit on Thailand's most beautiful beach, Phra Nang? The choice is yours!
There are few places on earth that stand to compare to this beautiful national park. Khao Sok is the world's oldest rainforest, and home to 10% of the world's biodiversity. Here we will spend the night on a floating bungalow on Cheow Lan Lake, a place with zero light pollution. Get ready to see the most stars you've ever seen in your life!
This trip will also take us on three safaris with the opportunity to experience wild elephants, tigers, monkeys, and exotic birds! To top it all off, we will ascend a limestone waterfall lake side, swing on vines like George of the Jungle, and fall in love with the humble way the earth shows off.
After taking in Thailand's lush and tropical Southern provinces we will move up north to a city well loved in the digital nomad community, Chiang Mai.
Thailand's cultural heartland is well known for its beautiful ornate temples, traditional northern food, and as Thailand’s expat hub. Filled with a mix of trendy restaurants, and traditional Thai markets, Chiang Mai is a feast for both the eyes and stomach.
We will be taking you through our old stomping ground by showing you through our favorite part. The food markets! Get ready to indulge in the best of northern Thai cuisine!
Beyond amazing food, Chiang Mai has a rich history to share through its old temples, moat, and relics scattered through out the city. We will take in Chiang Mai's historical significance, religious relevance, and truly embrace Lanna culture through the eyes and appreciation of a local guide.
Not to mention, show you exactly why so many foreigners have decided to call this place home!
Elephants have long been a part of Thai culture being used in the manual labor industry, wars, as royal transport, and now in tourism. This history of elephant exploitation, culminating in abuse related to the tourism industry has led to the need for elephant sanctuaries.
On this day we will take you to an ethical elephant sanctuary whose primary goal is to rescue and rehabilitate elephants from tourist torture camps. We feed, walk, and bathe the elephants all while learning about the protection efforts set in place.
From enormous super malls to colorful night markets, Chiang Mai has tons of things to do and see. After learning everything you need to know about Chiang Mai, we give you the opportunity to explore the city at your own pace, and focus on the things you want to experience.
We always want you to feel like you have the ultimate freedom to enjoy your vacation how you want to! We will provide you with all of the info on how to get around the city and suggested activities if you're looking for more adventure.
Whether you go souvenir shopping at the night market, or decide to go temple hopping in the Old City, the choice is yours.
After experiencing everything Chiang Mai has to offer, it's time to explore the magnificent Thai mountains in the peaceful haven of Pai, Thailand. We will complete the 762 hairpin turns of the infamous road from Chiang Mai to Pai, get settled into the village, and end the day at one of our fave places in Thailand.
Hidden in the mountains, we will soak in the soothing warm waters of the Pai hot springs. This hidden gem lets you enjoy warm bath water, nestled in nature, overlooking a mountain valley. You won't believe it until you see it.
Whether you’re into markets, nature, or just looking for a peaceful sunset, Pai has something for you. We will be taking you through a full tour of Pai that includes walking in between two tectonic plates, exploring a huge waterfall, and walking through vast rice paddies on a bamboo bridge.
Looking for delicious Thai food? The Pai night market has a cool small village feel with great food and nightlife scattered throughout. If you're looking for a safe, but lively night scene Pai will swiftly become one of your favorite places.
After a hearty breakfast in Pai and talking about all of our favorite parts of the trip, we will get all packed up and ready to say goodbye!
One last big hug, and then we will transfer you over to the airport in Chiang Mai.
BUT THE REAL CHASE YOUR ADVENTURE TOUR DIFFERENCE...
WE TREAT YOU LIKE FAMILY
Most tour companies just organize the trip for you, give you a guide, and throw you into a giant group of strangers. We are not your average tour company. When you take a Chase Your Adventure tour, you're traveling with us, Annette and Daniel. We eat all meals together, go on every excursion together, and outside of free days, we spend literally all day, every day together. We want our tours to feel like you're traveling with your best friends, not just some "company". That's why we keep our tour groups small, intimate, and personal.
So whether you're traveling with a group of friends or you're traveling on your own, you will never feel lonely or disconnected from your guides. We will love you and treat you like family from the moment you book, until infinity and beyond! That's the Chase Your Adventure difference.
This trip is for you if...
Enjoy a Curated Itinerary
We have spent countless hours figuring out all of the best things for you to do during your short trip here! That's why we follow a schedule of activities so you have time to see and do it all! Each day will vary but will usually start at 10 AM and end by dinner with some breaks in between!
You Enjoy the Occasional Cocktail
This tour is for those of us who like to enjoy a nice cocktail out by the beach while watching the sunset. Although there are ample bars at our destinations, this tour will focus on sightseeing and nature.
You Enjoy Being Part of a Group
Daniel and I are pretty touchy feely people who love to treat others like family! Our group will be about 8 people big, so if you are ready to make a bunch of new best friends, this tour is for you!
You are Flexible and Laid Back
Tours, like anything else that's weather dependent, may sometimes encounter a hiccup up or two. If you are comfortable with going with the flow, and seeing the glass half full, we want you on this tour!
If You LOVE Tasting New Foods and Flavors
Thailand has the best cuisine I've ever had in my life! We will be managing the menu and giving you a sampler dish of tons of different traditional Thai dishes. If you love trying new types of food, you will be in heaven!
If You Love Nature
Being in tropical islands comes with a whole new set of flora and fauna (and some pretty amazing Instagram pictures). If you love seeing new birds, monkeys, and the occasional bug, or two, you will love Thailand!
WHO ARE THE TRAVEL EXPERTS SHOWING US AROUND?
HI, SUNSHINE! WE ARE ANNETTE & DANIEL!
As self-identified huggers, we have an approach to life that is filled with optimism, love, and curiosity. There is little we are more passionate about than travel, which is why in 2017 we sold all of our stuff, and quit our jobs to explore the world full-time. Since we began our adventure, we have traveled to over 40 countries and Thailand has been our favorite. Every time the plane starts to land over Thailand, our eyes water because it feels like a piece of our heart is there.
Why are we the most qualified to take you through this gorgeous country?
Because it feels like home.
We spent the entire four months we were here exploring new parts of the country, learning Thai, and trying all of the food (which is AMAZING, by the way). Exploring the parts that few dare to try are the ones we've enjoyed the most! Now we want to share all that we have learned and the love we have for this beautiful land of smiles with you!
BUT DON'T JUST TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT!
HERE'S WHAT OUR PREVIOUS ADVENTURE CHASERS HAD TO SAY!
"Annette and Daniel took my friend and I through a month in Thailand and I was blown away. I never knew Thailand had so many things to see and different environments! They knew exactly where to take us and showed us the most beautiful places we've ever seen in our lives! Major plus side: These guys know where the BEST food is. Without a doubt, best meals I've tasted."
"I traveled across the world to Australia on my own and left my family behind. I didn't know what to expect and frankly I was anxious about it. From the moment I saw Annette coming down the stairs to greet me at the front door she makes you feel at ease. She has a warm and welcoming presence about her. She is incredibly knowledgable in so many ways. She is funny, smart, personable and well cultured. Someone who was a complete stranger to me, ended up becoming what I would consider a life long friend. Stick with her and you will have a great time. She is willing to listen to suggestions, give you options all whilst following a general agenda so you don't feel limited at the same time their is a plan! I absolutely recommend Chase Your Adventure tours."
* Quadruple Occupancy in Pai, Thailand

DID SOMEONE SAY

OVER $400 WORTH OF THEM, IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING!

We are going to be traveling to some of the most picturesque places on earth! With over 40 countries under our belt, trust me, we know! We will set you up with a 1-hour photoshoot that includes a destination of your choice, and all of the edited photos delivered to you within 15-days of your trip!

Like I've mentioned, the food in Thailand is a huge reason why we keep coming back. As a matter of fact, when we were in Thailand we took 4 different cooking classes because we were obsessed! I ended up becoming the house chef for my 7 roommates in Australia because of it! And we are throwing it in for free!
BONUS: Ultimate Thailand Video Course ($97 value)
In this 9-part video series, we will show you everything you need to know to be prepared for your trip to Thailand! This includes teaching you useful Thai phrases, a lesson on how to negotiate, what to pack for Thailand, what to expect when you land at the airport, and more!
WE LOVE TO HELP OTHERS. A PORTION OF YOUR PAYMENT IS DONATED TO CHARITY!
When you take a Chase Your Adventure Tour, you won't just be taking an amazing trip, but you're helping a disadvantaged high school student turn their dreams into a reality, too.
As part of my world-wide motivational speeches, I work with high schools to find struggling kids who deserve a second chance and help fund their college education and study abroad efforts.
I'VE GOT YOU COVERED!
Absolutely! Thailand is a country that we have never felt unsafe in even after living there for four months! With that said, use the same common sense you would use when you're back home here. If the alley looks sketchy and it's 3AM, don't go down it.
REALLY IMPORTANT. So important we require it for a Thailand Tip-to-Tip tour. On this tour we are going to be traveling the entire length of the country, scaling up a waterfall, sleeping in a remote jungle, and living life to the fullest. This is what would be considered adventure travel. If you get food poisoning, a broken leg, or your flight gets delayed, travel insurance protects you. Don't leave home without it.
Yes! It's super easy and about $10 to get a SIM card for a month! Thailand also has wifi just about everywhere. The only place where we will struggle getting connection is in Khao Sok National Park, but trust me, you won't want to be glued to your phone anyway.
You definitely don't have to be an athlete to go on our Thailand Tip-to-Tip tour! With that said, we will be doing quite a bit of walking and one hike that is of moderate difficulty. You can always opt out of any activity that does not make you comfortable, but if you want a more laid-back experience, we suggest you look into our Week in the Tropics tour. That tour is catered to a more laid-back kind of traveler that really just wants to have good food, and walk around beautiful places. There won't be any hard mandatory hikes that we will do on this tour, and we will be traveling much more slowly.
To travel to Thailand, you will need a passport that is valid for up to six months after the trip departure date. If you're coming from North America, and most countries in Europe you will be granted a 30 day visa on arrival, and you won't need any additional documentation. I do encourage you to double check the requirements here, just in case anything changes.
From city to city, we will be taking domestic flights to get to our new locations faster! To get to Railay Beach and Khao Sok National Park, we will be taking a boat. In city, we will be doing a mix of walking, taking taxi's, and taking vans.
Traveling within Thailand can sometimes involve walking into waist deep water to catch a long-tail boat, while carrying all of your luggage overhead. We speak from experience. Furthermore, since we are going to be traveling at a fast pace and taking lots of flights, we do limit the luggage you can bring to 1 10L personal bag/purse and 1 55L backpack/small suitcase.
Don't panic! I know it's a two-week trip, but we travel carry-on only full-time and will teach you exactly what you need to pack for your trip. If you're wondering what we bring around the world, click here for our packing list.
Thailand is a beautiful country, and we have picked out accommodations that are near to the center of every city we will be visiting. With that said, I want you to have clear expectations regarding where we will be staying. All rooms are double occupancy, and will have air conditioning, but are fairly small. Accommodations in Thailand are very different than those you're used to back home. Most rooms have a shared bathroom in the hallway and we've picked places known for their cleanliness. I do want you to be aware that Thailand is full of surprises and even some that may catch us off guard. In the event situations like these arise, we will do our best to make sure you have a comfy and safe place to sleep.
When we stay in Khao Sok National Park, we will be sleeping in a floating bungalow located in the middle of a lake. With that said, the accommodations at the national park are very basic, have no AC, and are very similar to camping. We will only be staying at the bungalow for one night, and the experiences at Khao Sok are well worth the basic accommodations, I promise.
